If ever a love story should begin with ‘once upon a time’ it should be the story of Marshall and Carissa. He was the Prince Charming looking for his beautiful princess, and she was the princess worth fighting for.
Marshall and I have been close friends for four years, and never have I met someone who sought after God with his whole heart so dilligently, or pursued so tenderly the girl of his dreams. He is the brother I never had, and his beautiful wife is the girl I prayed so hard for God to bring into his life.
Needless to say, getting to share in celebrating their wedding day was such a gift. It was a joy to spend the morning with Carissa and her family– when I got to her house, I found her and her friends and family in the living room watching the Muppets. What a great way to start off the day! And if that doesn’t give you enough of a picture, I’ll just tell you, I’ve never seen a wedding party so relaxed and excited. As the time of the ceremony approached, Carissa and Marshall both were so ready to get married! As my assistant John was outside taking photos of the groomsmen, I was inside with Carissa and she was having such fun peeking out the window to get a glimpse of her handsome groom.
The Ceremony was one of the most Christ centered I’ve ever been to. Marshall and Carissa read each other the vows they wrote, and a group of their friends led a small worship service. Every little moment of the day was so special and tender.
Marshall and Carissa, I am so thankful that God brought you two together. I know you are, and are going to become such a strong team for His glory. What a beautiful picture of Christ’s character revealed through your relationship! Thank you so much for allowing me to come alongside you during this journey, and I hope you enjoyed the photos as much as I did!
