This past weekend my husband John and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. We drove down to Hilton Head Island, which is one of our favorite destinations. Over the years we have shared many memories on family vacations riding our bikes around the island in the summer, going swimming, and of course going to the infamous Salty Dog Cafe. We love the relaxing atmosphere and gorgeous beaches!
February 23rd, 2013 we committed to spend our lives together. It was the most beautiful day of my life to date. It doesn’t hurt that my husband is so good looking 🙂 Looking back on that day, I vividly remember how special it was to have all of my dearest friends and family around us to celebrate, and how John couldn’t stop smiling. I always feel so precious in his eyes. Here is a little glimpse into that sweet day! <3
It’s hard to believe a year has gone by already! What a wonderful, crazy, eventful, busy year it’s been! As most of you know now, we moved back to Georgia this past fall so that we could continue growing our business, and to be close to my family since we have a new addition on the way. God has been so faithful to our little family. John got a job within just a couple weeks of moving here that has been more of a blessing than we could have imagined. Our photography business is growing by leaps and bounds, and we are so excited about all of the opportunities we have to continue to grow! Little John Hunter Louis is due in about 7 weeks, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome our little boy into the world!
Truly, this year has been a roller coaster in many ways. Job changes. Moving. Baby. etc. But it has felt more like a wonderful adventure than anything else, because I have been on it with my best friend. I truly am incredibly blessed, and I pray I never take it for granted.
John, thank you so much for being the patient and kind husband that you are.
Thank you for loving me, and our little one on the way so well, and for always striving to love us and shepherd our hearts with the love of Christ.
Thank you for making our morning devotionals a priority, and for praying over our family.
Thank you for your notes, flowers, and not so random acts of kindness that make me feel so cherished.
Thank you for being quick to listen, slow to anger, and always abounding in patience.
Thank you for being such a great son in law to my parents, and brother in law to my sisters…even when they make you play doctor, or have tea parties 🙂
Thank you for initiating late night “treat” runs to the grocery store, and for shamelessly eating ice cream at midnight with me:)
Thank you for all that you do, and all that you are…you are more than I could have dreamed of.
xoxo- holly
