Emily & Solomon | 4.9.2016 | WEDDING

“A man who finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” – Proverbs 18.22

Joy. So much joy!

Emily & Solomon’s morning wedding at Sweet Meadow Farms in Tallapoosa, GA was something out of a dream. And I promise, it’s not just because John and I  were up at 4.30 that morning! Haha! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride’s face radiate with such pure joy as I saw on Emily & Solomon’s wedding day. Even at the crack of dawn, after not sleeping all night because she was so excited, she was radiant! Solomon is so blessed to have found Emily to walk through life with, and from the smile on his face the whole day too, I’m pretty convinced he knew it! She is one of the most tenderhearted, beautiful souls I have ever crossed paths with, and I know that she found her perfect match in Solomon.

We photographed their first look at 7.05am, right as the sun was coming up over the hills. The fog was still hovering over the pond, catching the light of the rising sun, and it was something that looked like it was out of a movie. After watching that first look, I decided I don’t think there is anything sweeter than starting off the day of your wedding walking hand in hand with your soon to be husband into the rays of the rising sun, and being husband and wife less than two hours later. It happened to be one of the coldest mornings of spring so far, and our toes were wet and frozen, but we didn’t care! It was 38 degrees, and windy, but Emily and Solomon didn’t comment even once about being cold! They were such troopers!

The whole day was filled with so much love, and joy– and coffee and doughnuts! I’ve never seen a doughnut bar at a wedding, but it’s my new favorite thing! Best wishes and blessings to you & Solly, Emily! Thank you so much for trusting John and I with your special day! Now I need you to move back to Augusta so we can sit on Hunter’s floor while he plays and talk about life like the old days! Love you so much!
