FALL BALLET FUN!

This past year my sister and I both started to take ballet. Myself at 21, and her at age 3. We both love it, and spend many evenings watching Swan Lake or videos from Anaheim Ballet, and stretching. We help each other “point and flex,” do our counts as we stretch or practice the splits. It’s been so much fun to have something like ballet to share with her.

Yesterday she had her first class viewing where parents and friends can come in to the class and observe what the students have learned so far. Because it was around Halloween they got to wear costumes if they wanted, they normally can only wear white leotards and pink tights. In the middle of class the teacher asked the class what a move was and she boldy stated “ronde de jambe”– I was so proud to see her remembering the names of the positions we talk about so much. Enjoy the pictures! Some day I hope to post photos when she’s accomplished her goal ( she really wants to learn how to do a fouette turn =] )
