Whitney & Wesley Wedding | Highlights

A little over six years ago I walked into my first physical therapy appointment for a shoulder injury that had been bothering me, and I met Whitney and Jackie. Jackie was my physical therapist, and Whitney was her assistant. Jackie immediately stood out to me with her bubbly personality, and big smile, and Whitney was just as fun and tenacious, but just as tall as me! You know when you’re a 5’10 girl, finding another girl as tall as yourself is incredible! Throughout my therapy there, I fell in love with both of them, and we talked about my boyfriend in Texas (now my hubby!) and who Whitney was dating etc. We’ve kept up here and there over the years, and it’s been so fun to share with her as our family has grown, and when she and Wesley got engaged <3 So when Whitney contacted me about photographing their wedding, I was so excited! I just had to be there!

Whitney and Wesley are two of the kindest people, and so thoughtful, as you can tell from all the details included in their day. She pinned a blue heart shaped patch inside her dress made out of the fabric from her dad’s police uniform, and her great grandmother’s tshirt. On the heart were two pins: her grandfather’s high school pin, and her other grandfather’s staff sergeant pin. I photographed their rings on a fern leaf from a fern plant that Wesley’s great great grandmother’s fern that has been kept alive all these years, as well as on her great grandfather’s lock that they left on the bridge at Savannah Rapids.
